Clio, was one of the nine muses. Each muse had their own purpose and their voices, songs and dancing were meant to relieve the sorrows of the world. The Nine Muses were considered to be the source of inspired creation for poetry, literature, or music.

Clio is revered as the muse of history. She was history’s patron. She not only recounted the stories of the heroes, but inspired some of them.
